There are three
levels of membership:

Professional Member

A person is eligible for professional membership if a significant proportion of their activities are devoted to neuropsychology or related fields (e.g., psychology, rehabilitation psychology, neuroscience, medicine, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc.) and they possesses the qualifications (degrees, certifications, or other requirements) consonant with their profession in the country of origin. Professional members have the power to vote in Society elections and may hold office in the Society. Professional membership dues range from $36 – $180 depending on country of residence.

In-Training Member

A person is eligible for in-training membership if they are currently actively pursuing a degree (Doctoral degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent) at a degree-granting institution or currently serving in a post-doctoral fellowship, internship, or residency program. In-training members do not have the power to vote in Society elections and may not hold office in the Society. Once a member completes their training and becomes a practicing professional, their membership should be upgraded to a professional membership. In-training membership may be maintained for a maximum of 6 years. In-Training membership dues range from $11 – $54 depending on country of residence.

Emeritus Membership

An individual who has been a member of the Society for at least 10 years, has reached the age of 65 and has retired from active practice may qualify for emeritus membership. Emeritus members may vote in elections and may hold office in the Society. Emeritus membership dues range from $18 – $90 depending on country of residence.

INS Tiered Dues Structure

Tiered Dues Structure: Discounts for Professional and In-Training Members in High, Middle, Low-Middle, and Low-Income countries are based on a percentage of the dues for members in High Income Countries using World Bank Country Income classification. Adjusted amounts will be rounded to the nearest USD.

Professional Member

  • High-Income countries: 180 USD
  • High-Middle-Income countries: 50% of Dues for High Income category
  • Low-Middle-Income/Low-Income countries: 20% of Dues for High Income category

In-Training Member

  • High-Income countries: 54 USD
  • High-Middle-Income countries: 50% of Dues for High Income category
  • Low-Middle-Income/Low-Income countries: 20% of Dues for High Income category

Emeritus Membership

  • High Income countries: 75 USD
  • High-Middle-Income countries: 50% of Dues for High Income category
  • Low-Middle-Income/Low-Income countries: 20% of Dues for High Income category
